Questions

Frequently asked.

How does the per-seat pricing work?
Costable is $29 per seat per month for one seat. Add more and the per-seat rate drops automatically: $25 for 2–5 seats, $22 for 6–15, and $19 for 16+ seats. There's a single SKU — every seat gets every feature.
Do all seats really get every feature?
Yes. There's no Starter / Professional / Enterprise gating. The only thing that changes between seat counts is the per-seat price. Future AI features and integrations ship as paid add-ons billed separately — your $29/seat doesn't shrink.
What's the annual billing discount?
15% off the monthly per-seat rate when you pay annually. You can switch between monthly and annual any time; Stripe prorates the next invoice automatically.
Is there a launch promo?
Yes — 25% off the per-seat price locked for 12 months from your sign-up date. Capped at the first 8 weeks post-launch or first 100 orgs, whichever comes first. Stacks with annual: 25% × 15% works out to roughly 36% off your first year.
Can I add or remove seats later?
Any time. Stripe prorates the next invoice for partial months automatically.
How does the free trial work?
14 days, no credit card required. You land in your country's sample data, build a quick quote, and decide. Add a payment method any time during the trial to convert without interruption.
What happens when the trial ends?
If you haven't added a payment method by the trial-end date, your estimates become read-only until you add one. Your data stays put — adding a card unlocks editing immediately.
Can I paste from Excel?
Yes. Paste-in coerces types and strips formulas (you'll see a toast). Resolved-value Excel export is part of the beta-readiness gate.
Will my existing Excel formulas work?
Costable has its own formula engine with the standard arithmetic, aggregate, and lookup functions you'd expect. Most one-line formulas paste over without changes; complex multi-sheet pivots may need a rewrite.
How do I import my existing cost library?
Bulk-import via the Cost Library page: download the template, fill it in Excel, paste back. Suppliers, units, sub-categories, and ERP item codes all come across.
Where's my data stored?
On Supabase (Postgres) with row-level security gating every read and write to your org's data. Daily backups; full-region encryption at rest.
Can my team see each other's drafts?
Yes — every project in your org is visible to every member. Estimators can edit; admins additionally manage seats, billing, and the cost library. Personal Parts are private to the user who created them.
How do I export my data?
Estimate Excel export is being wired for beta as a resolved-value snapshot. Pricing schedule and variation exports will follow those surfaces when they ship.
How do I cancel?
From Settings → Billing → Open customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; your data stays accessible read-only after that until you delete it.
Do you offer refunds?
If you cancel within the first 14 days after your trial converts and haven't built any non-sample estimates, email support and we'll process a refund. Beyond that, cancellation simply stops the next renewal.
Do you offer a free tier?
No — the 14-day no-credit-card trial covers acquisition. A forever-free tier creates a support burden that pushes paid prices higher; we'd rather keep $29/seat true.
Where can I see live demos?
Help videos are accessible inside the app under the Help menu. We'll add a public playlist post-launch.
